Newstead Renovation

The Project:

Symmetrie was engaged by the clients of Newstead Renovation to re-design & style existing spaces within their family home. There is nothing more satisfying for us than breathing new life into tired, unorganised spaces and that is exactly what we had the opportunity to do for these clients.

Starting with the formal sitting area, we made use of empty corners and designed custom joinery to house both books on display and also some hidden storage for those bits and pieces that you prefer tucked away. New furniture and styling was introduced to the space which enhanced the overall room with improved scale & proportion and also better flow through to the home office area.

The home office received an ultimate update with complete custom joinery replacing existing freestanding desks and lack of storage. The new space includes ample storage including printer space and customised drawers, combination open shelving for additional books and closed storage, large desk areas with feature wallpaper and LED lighting above the work areas.

Last but not least - the kids playroom received its own storage update with a custom design to suit the kids toys, Tas Oak floating shelves, feature wall paneling and bespoke leather handles. With the addition of revised spatial planning and some new styling items, this room was looking and feeling both new & improved.
